Presence-based Community is about being the church rather than going to church.

 

Presence Based Community is about a life-producing reordering of focus and priority based on the bible. This new book and conference is a radical proposal for the church; a proposal for encounter and engagement with presence of God. Instead of gathering to learn about God, we will gather to learn from God. It is an active response in affirmation of God’s desire to live among His people. It is a proposal for a radical return to the new covenant example and teachings of Jesus and the early church; to live by abiding in Him. It is a call to be a true community defined by mutual love and care for one another in order to reveal the presence of God on the earth through our love for one another.

Presence-based community is about living in the full expression of the church that Jesus died for! It is a call to live as a kingdom of priests: believers who minister to God as a primary occupation and reign by partnering with Him on the earth. By loving God with all heart, soul, mind and loving one another, the presence-based community reveals the fulness of God’s love and purposes on the earth through the church. Instead of a weekly meeting, a presence-based community is the fulfillment of the plan of God, “I will walk among them. I will be their God and they shall be my people.” (2 Cor. 6:16b NKJV)
